ACTION – SIGN THE PETITION: Tell Gov. Brown, Sen. Merkley & Sen. Wyden: No LNG Exports (via No LNG Exports)

“The proposed 229-mile Pacific Connector Pipeline and the associated Jordan Cove LNG export terminal is an unprecedented project that would impact more than 400 waterways including the Rogue, Umpqua, Coos, and Klamath Rivers, and would be one of the largest climate polluters in the state. The proposed project would impact traditional tribal territories, important salmon fisheries, and hundreds of landowners.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) denied the certificate for the project in 2016 stating that the so-called “benefits did not outweigh the impacts to landowners and communities”. It is time that Oregon’s elected leaders stand with our communities in stopping the fracked gas pipeline and instead commit to speeding our transition to clean energy and greater energy efficiency.”
