Donate to Make “In Shallow Ground” Documentary Film

Your donation directly funds the production of “In Shallow Ground,” a documentary film about the 2020 Satartia, Mississippi CO2 pipeline rupture and health impacts to the community where over 300 were evacuated, dozens were hospitalized, and some experience devastating health impacts to this day.

The film will also document the current envisioned buildout of a dangerous nationwide CO2 pipeline sewer system and associated underground “sequestration” waste dumps to clean up the fossil fuel industry’s mess, all paid for by you! — via billions of dollars in generous federal tax credits.

“In Shallow Ground” will be produced in segments. The flimmakers have already traveled to Satartia and conducted interviews with first responders and impacted residents, and that footage is included in the first version of the trailer presented here.

• The first round of donations (GOAL: $10,000-$15,000) will fund a trip to the Midwest as soon as possible, for travel and expenses to interview impacted landowners, organizers, county officials and other subjects. An updated trailer including new footage from the Midwest trip will be released afterwards.
• The second round of donations will fund another trip to the Gulf coast, to interview impacted community members, organizers etc. An updated trailer will be released following the Gulf coast trip as well.
• We’re also planning a third trip to Washington, D.C., to capture testimony on CO2 pipelines and “Carbon, Capture and Storage” CCS before Congress as it considers several pipeline bills this session, where victims of the Satartia incident and first responders are expected to testify.
• Then, once all trips and filming is completed, another round of funding will be needed for editing and post-production.
