Construction is progressing on the project in northern Minnesota, though it’s being slowed by the powerful resistance of Water Protectors and resistance camps on the ground. Courts have recently denied urgent requests for a stay on construction, and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz continues to support the pipeline’s construction.

President Joe Biden can stop the Line 3 project by revoking its federal water permit, which was inappropriately granted by Trump’s administration. All of the arguments used to reject the Keystone XL pipeline also apply to Line 3. Action is urgently needed. We cannot allow Enbridge (the company behind Line 3) to violate Indigenous rights, pollute sacred waters, and lock in climate devastation for decades to come. “
